I already have student loans up to my ears and adding to it sucks.

Would still be forced to sublease or pay out of pocket for my apartment if I got into a summer graduate program, or still required to get a job for the remaining months til Fall semester would start (assuming I get into a program)

This seems so simple, right? I have tons of pro's for scenario 2 and tons of con's for scenario 1..so really, I should pick scenario 2. I think a lot is going to depend on my financial situation next year as well.

Next..

How do I go about choosing what school I want to go to/apply to?

It sucks because I know I will not get into OSU's program, unfortunately.
Reasons: OSU is a giant research institution and has specifically pointed out that they prefer non OSU undergrads for their graduate programs. They want to take students from other schools (who are the cream of the crop) and bring them in, and they want us to go out and do the same at other places. My GPA sucks..plain and simple. I am paying for mistakes I made freshman year (first quarter freshman year, to be specific). Also, OSU's education program is one of the top ranked grad programs in the country..so even with a better GPA it would be iffy.

The other day I was driving in my car and I realized that I cannot imagine ever leaving OSU. I realize I will eventually grow out of this whole college scene..but right at this moment I can't imagine moving away. I feel like my entire life..I have gotten comfortable somewhere and then gotten up and left right as I settled. Now, this has been my decision and I don't regret it at all. Usually, I would say I love doing it. I love going new places and seeing new things..I probably was a navy brat in another life. BUT, I LOVE Ohio State. I cannot even write out how deep my love runs for this university. Everything about it..from the campus to the classes, to the student life and just general opportunities I have gotten here. For me, it fits. I was talking to my advisor last quarter and she asked me if I liked OSU and I got a little teary explaining how much I admire this place. I know that sounds completely ridiculous, but I have put a lot into OSU and I have gotten even more out of it.

So at the moment, I am looking at different schools such as UWF back home, University of Toledo, etc. There are plenty of schools with Student Affairs programs..but none of them are OSU. And sure, I would absolutely go to any school I get accepted to with open arms..but I dread the moment I move away from Columbus. Going back to school's i'm looking at..UWF. There would be definite pro's to moving back home..first would be that my parents will be living back there again so IF I wanted to live at home, I could for free. I also have ties back home too, of course..and its convenient and familiar overall. But..it is such a giant change from the environment here. It is literally completely different in every facet..from the university to the city..to the weather..the people..the attitudes. Can I handle moving back to that? I know I can..but thinking about it now kind of shocks me. I have gotten so accustomed to life here. I know this all sounds so ridiculous..yes I will do what I have to do and I am emotionally and mentally strong enough to handle all of this..but this is more of me spitting out the incoherent and sometimes completely irrational thoughts in my head.

I know this will all work itself out..and maybe I should concentrate on the whole getting into graduate school thing before I even think of this..but my brain unfortunately doesn't work that way. I have the constant thoughts of 'what if's' in my head..Its like a giant tree and each branch sprouts another branch and another. There are endless thoughts and possibilities.

The University of the American Dream

Things you should do and experience before graduation The Ohio State University.

This list certainly isn't finished and it may never be..and it isn't a bible or guide to OSU..but instead, it is just a few suggestions on what to do if you want to make the most of your experience at 'The University of the American Dream'. These are in no particular order.

1. Go to a Buckeye home football game - simple enough. I'd even go as far as to say you should never sell your season tickets and go to every game you possibly can because you will later yearn for those Saturdays in Ohio Stadium and wish you hadn't ever missed a game at all. It is just that special.
2. Attend an Ohio State-Michigan game, in Ohio Stadium - Very similar to number one, but if you can only make one game in your entire tenure at OSU, make it one of these games.
3. Go to a skull session.
4. Jump in mirror lake on the Thursday before the Michigan game.
5. Join Block 'O' and try to go to as many sporting events as you possibly can to cheer on the Buckeyes.
6. In the spring, lay out on the oval and enjoy the weather.
7. Enjoy a nice piece of fly-pie or a few chicken fingers from Canes when drunk.
8. Climb on the big numbers in the numbers garden, maybe even take a few photos.
9. Learn the Alma Mater and other important buckeye songs.
10. Pose for a picture with Brutus Buckeye.
11. Get some late night Burritos Noches
12. Listen and laugh at the crazy preacher in the oval
13. Go to at least one Beat Michigan Week event and support your fellow students as well as Buckeyes.
14. Live in the dorms at least one year.
15. Witness the Dotting of the I (and dream that it is you out there)
16. Take a class that you weren't aware was even offered (examples: skydiving, scuba, etc?)
17. Scream O-H! as loud as you can and wait expectantly for an I-O!!
18. Go to a movie on the Oval (sponsored by OUAB)
19. Watch the Ohio State-Michigan documentary by HBO
20. Take a deep breath and realize that you have an innumerable amount of opportunities and resources at your fingertips while at this great university.
21. Partake in the senior Bar Crawl
22. Check out the Greek community and be open to the possibility of wanting to join.
23. Eat at #1 Chinese. It may look shady, but how can you pass up mounds of good chinese for under 6 bucks?
24. Use your student discount and go to a Columbus Blue Jackets game
25. Use the RPAC!
26. Learn and utilize CABS, and maybe even COTA..they are free!!
27. Try some Jeni's Ice Cream. Many of the flavors are a bit 'out there' at first glance, but don't be afraid to sample as many kinds as you want and be amazed at the combo of flavors.
28. Go to a Gallery Hop
29. Take 'The Long Walk' through the oval.
30. Tailgate..kegs and eggs..Hineygate!
31. Go to the Big Free Concert
32. Eat at Buckeye Donuts, and don't forget that its open 24 hours!
33. Enjoy the halftime shows and the Script Ohio that is put on by TBDBITL
34. Study Abroad

More to come..as well as helpful links to utilize while you are at OSU.

Spring!

And spring quarter has started.

I am currently scheduled for 20 credit hours..but i'm going to drop one of the classes, I just don't know which one yet.

Schedule:
Comm 642 - Mass Communication and Society
Comm 320 - Interpersonal Communication
ASL 103 - American Sign Language 3
Theatre 597 - Censorship and performance

I'm pretty sure I will drop one of the first two comm classes. I am going to 320 in the morning and while it should be easier than 642, you never know. I had 642 today and it didn't seem very scary, except for the fact that I only understood about every 5th word my very Chinese teacher said. Even worse, our TA is Indian with a very thick accent as well.

Looking back at some older posts, I said I hoped for at least a 3.2 last quarter and I actually ended up with 3.36. Not much higher, but considering how AWFUL last quarter was (because of being constantly sick), I will absolutely take it. I got two A-'s and one B-.

I am hoping for a minimum of a 3.36 for spring quarter, but I am sure I can do much better. Spring quarter is by far the best because of the weather and overall activities around the university. I can't wait!

Back to the grind

Classes this quarter:

Communication 501 - Children and the Media
Communication 613 - Media Entertainment
ASL 102 - Sign Language 2

So far, I am pretty nervous about ASL 2 and Comm 501. As far as letters of rec go, it is such a pain because at OSU, you rarely have a teacher more than once or twice. My goal for next quarter is to go out of my way to make some connections.

Whats even more scary: The fact that I am doubting my essay/personal statement writing ability and yet I somehow think i'll survive graduate school..hmm.

I haven't even tackled the thought of the GRE yet and frankly, I am afraid to.

Tweet Tweet

First..I have a twitter!

Twitter.com/yeahitscase

check it out.

Other news:

- I will end the quarter with two A's and a B. I think I just heard my entire apartment complex groaning as the Sox pretty much owned The Tribe.

Alright, since that is out of the way...I mentioned that I wanted to show you guys some photos of my apartment and all of that stuff. I live in a three bedroom and I have my own bathroom with a double-sink vanity which is all attached to my bedroom..It is pretty nice. The living room and kitchen is also pretty good but I rarely go in there. My roommates bought a pretty big flat screen TV and they just pretty much monopolize that area, which is completely okay because I am honestly never home. I work M-W-F and have class T-R so when I am home, I am studying or laying around in bed and just trying to have some time to myself.

Here are some photos of my room and bathroom..My room looks a little bit different now because I have four of my framed photographs hanging on each wall above my bed. They look awesome but I just haven't had the time to snap a new picture yet, so these will suffice. Oh, and that is Jesse, My half-sister on my bed. She came down from Toledo to help me move in (she was a HUGE help!)

That's my totally sweet Polka Dot Shower Curtain. I had one midterm this past week and a paper and I also have another midterm tomorrow and one later this week too. My Lit midterm was Thursday and I seriously thought I was going to be lucky to get a 75. It just seemed impossible. My teacher put the 'format' of how it was going to be online and everyone in the class was just freaking out. All short answer, and lots of it. And the material in this class is close to unbearable and boring and I guess that's why we were freaking out so bad. It is so hard to understand the middle/old English that many of the stories are written in and then he wants you to tear them apart and get all of this meaning out of the text and it just seems so insane at times. Anyway, come test day I was just feeling down because I didn't feel prepared and I also had a paper due that day so I felt like I spent more time on that than I did studying. Well, I get to class pretty early and a few other people show up. We start to just talk about it all and it kind of becomes a study session because we are asking each other questions from the study guide. As we all are talking, I really start to feel better. I knew a lot more than I thought I did. When the test was passed out, I honestly felt awesome. My only fault was the last few questions and that was because they were excerpts straight from the stories we have read and we had to identify which one and its relevance, etc..so I am thinking I got at least a 85. I hope. I'll let you all know.

I have a Human Nutrition midterm tomorrow after work, and then a communication one later this week. Luckily we have no final for Comm. but instead we have a speech and a paper. I am not crazy about the speech, I hate public speaking..but I have to do it and even have to take a class on it sometime so oh well.

Hmm.. Oh! This was homecoming week at Ohio State and so we had lots of activities going on..including the football game against Michigan State. This was our first real 'test' to be honest. Up until this game, we hadn't played anyone who was a real threat. We did win, but we had a scare. We were up 24-0 in the 4th and Michigan State managed to get two touchdowns in a row right off two of our turnovers. We were all pretty nervous for a little bit but we pulled it out. Next week is Penn State and I am definitely nervous about going into Happy Valley. They are a tough team to play and a VERY tough team to beat at home.

I also got to a hockey game this weekend, Ohio State's season opener vs. Miami. They are ranked #2 in the nation while we were at #12, it is one of the biggest games of the season. We ended up losing 5-1 but it was just nice being back in the ice rink. I did sit with the Ice Box with is a subsidiary of Block O, but for hockey. I honestly did not have that great of a time simply because I sat with them. They do chants which I think are kind of irritating and lame, and I miss chants from Pilot's games, or ECHL games. They also whined a lot about when certain songs weren't played in the right order over the intercom, etc. I finally just said, 'its a hockey game. Just go with it. You guys are going to make me hate college hockey'. They kind of looked at me..but I was serious. Just watch the game..they focused more on their 'rules' than they did the game itself.

and finalllyyy (sorry this is such an extremely long post), I went to a concert on Thursday..it was Fall Out Boy, Plain White T's, Gym Class Heroes, and Cute is what we aim for. My sister got tickets so we went..overall it was a good show..extremely long. Fall Out Boy played the longest set they have ever played. I was kind of ready to go by the end..everyone sounded good though. My favorite was Gym Class Heroes by far, though..they got everyone on their feet and got a lot of energy out of the crowd.

Till next time,
Case

Post-Game Recap: Purdue Trip

Last Saturday, I was fortunate enough to get a chance to go to Purdue for the Ohio State vs. Purdue game. It was through Block O and about 47 of us boarded a charter bus to make the four hour trip to West Lafayette, Indiana.

We left the stadium parking lot around 2 o clock, which is odd because all Ohio State home games start at 3 p.m. usually..where as most away games are at night, like this one. The trip their was easy enough..we did hit some traffic because of an accident right outside of West Lafayette but otherwise, it was smooth. Once we pulled onto campus..I was AMAZED. I would have thought I was at home on campus had I not known better. I saw Scarlet everywhere I looked. The bus parked around a bunch (probably ten) other huge charter buses and people were tailgating, cooking out, playing cornhole..etc. We had a quick bite to eat (Jersey Mike's provided subs to everyone) and then started our trek to the stadium. Now I must say, I think the trek was the best part of the trip. Why you ask? All 47 of marched to the stadium in SONG. We sang many Ohio State songs as loud as possible and it was amazing. Buckeye fans were cheering and clapping and sometimes singing along and Purdue fans just looked in wonder..they didn't quite know what to say.

It was sweltering hot and humid during the game. We were sweating our butts off and their stadium CRAMS the students in..it seemed like we could barely breathe.

The whole game was good but it seemed incredibly long..we won 23-7..they scored with about ten seconds left in the game. Overall, the crowd was great because i'd say it was 55-60 percent Ohio State fans..crazyness.

Here are some photos from the game:

This photo was after the game..it was right outside of the stadium.

O-H-I-O! But, I am pretty sure now that no one in that group reads this anymore.

School is amazing. Honestly, I LOVE it here. It makes me wish I had transferred in a quarter rather than spending the entire year in Mansfield. I am pretty busy, but thats good though. Class is T-R with work M-W-F.

I am still not officially in the communication major and that worries me, but, I will be a junior at the end of this quarter and my current expected grad date is 2009 rather than 2010, which I think is pretty fantastic and exciting..but makes me nervous too.

Grad school? I've thought about it but I have a little bit of time..it seems imminent though.

Other news..hmm. I am incredibly involved in Block O. check it out at blocko.org. It is pretty much amazing. I did go to one sorority event because they are currently doing COB, but tonight is the final and last event for the sorority I like and I am pretty sure I will not get a bid because I have only been to one thing prior. This leaves me with the option of going to formal recruitment in the fall, or informal again in the spring. I don't know if its what I want to do..and at this time, maybe its good that I didn't honestly try to get a bid because I don't have the time or the money right now..period.

Almost done!

I am busy. very busy.

So let me see here..

11.18.06
Biggest game of the century.
...and I was there!

It was nuts! I woke up around 10 am, which is later than normal for game day..I am usually up and walking around campus doing the tailgate thing from like..9 on..but it was nice sleeping in a bit, even if only for an hour. Me, Ally, and Shannon woke up and headed to grab something to eat..we didn't get out of the dorm till around 11 since we took showers and stuff..Once we got out..we went onto High Street..for those of you who don't know..High street runs all the way down one side of campus and most of the bars/food/stores are on this street. It was nuts! So many people..some people were looking for tickets..some were selling tickets..a lot of vendors were set up and they were selling shirts that said things such as, "Fuck Michigan/Muck Fichigan", "Ann Arbor Is A Whore", and "I've been in Ann Arbor, she's not that great"..among others. I would never wear one..I just stuck with one of my OSU shirts and my jersey..

We eventually made our way up to wendy's on high street..which is huge..we got a Buckeye Burger and after that, we walked down Lane Ave..another major street on one side of the campus that intersects with High. They had the entire street closed off so you could walk wherever you pleased..The yells of "O-H-I-O" were heard every few seconds...and of course, the tried and true song of "We don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan". It misewell be our fight song, I think we sing it more than the actual fight song..lol

I could not use my cell phone the entire game! There were so so so many people there (200k or more) that every tower was just completely jammed..

I finally got into the stadium around 2:40ish.the game starts at 3:30..but they do all sorts of pre-game stuff. It was Senior night so they introduced all of the seniors on the football team..and then of course the band did the Script Ohio..which is amazinggggg..and then the national anthem, along with a video tribute and moment of silence for OSU Alum and past Michigan coach Bo Schembechler. Even though he coached for that school up north, he was still an OSU alumni..

Once the game started..it was pure insanity. The stadium was louder than i've ever heard it..I ended up losing my voice from screaming so much..Towards the end..It just hit me that I really was at this game..and how amazing that was. I will remember it for the rest of my life..

Once the game ended..it was insanity. I rushed for the field..it took a second..but i mean..ahh..it was amazing! Some people, including Shannon..got the actual turf..big pieces of it..I didn't partake in that..but it was amazing singing the Alma Mater (Carmen Ohio) with 105k of my closest friends..haha

In other news..I went home this past week..got to go to two ice pilots game..and just have an all around good time..It was a very nice break! It was so nice seeing everyone..I can't wait to be home for christmas..

Speaking of Christmas..Finals are next week (I am done on the 5th) and then I come home again! Its nuts..I was just home for a week..now I am back for a week and 2 days..and then I leave again..but hey, i'm not complaining!

Here are some photos that I took during the game before my camera died:

still have not edited..so I'll put em up later.

The big game is almost here!

I am so excited. This is the biggest rivalry in college sports. This game will go down in history simply since the teams are #1 and #2. Go Bucks!

In other news..

I took my own advice and studied a bit more..and I totally aced my math midterm as well as my sociology midterm..YEAH! I also got another "A" on my sociology paper..make that two in a rowwww!

Things are looking up.

I am so glad to be going home for Thanksgiving..it will be a very much so needed break from this place. I love it here..there has been some drama as of late..but nothing worth noting in this blog. It is pretty insignificant. I just miss home. I'm not homesick, but I mean..3 or more months without your mom and other family is a good while..I think I deserve to miss them. I am human.

I scheduled my class for next quarter! Right now I am set for 20 credit hours..which is roughly about 7 semester classes..but only 4 quarter classes (we are on the quarter system. More info is packed in in a shorter amount of time)

Anyway, my schedule is kind of crazy..it is tentatively set as so:

All classes are Monday and Wednesday
9:55-12:00 - History since 1877
1:00-3:15 - Intro to Criminology
5:30-7:30pm - Geo. Science..Planet Earth and how it works
7:40-9:40pm - Communication 101, History of Human Communication

In my last post I talked about how I had no idea what to major in. So since that last post..I have decided to fall in line with the Communications major. All of these classes, with the exception of Criminology falls in line perfectly with the communications GEC..If I end up dropping a class, it would be criminology simply because its the class I don't really need. 15 credit hours is usually what people take each quarter..20 is really high..but i'll see how it goes. If I stick with the communications major, i'm going to try to minor in sociology..

alright. I'm out like a light..sleep is totally not overrated either..haha

Short Lived.

I am no longer working at American Eagle..The past couple of weeks since I have started..they really haven't used me at all..I've been on call for a few days..and when I call..they don't need me..so I am 'terminated' b/c they can't really use me right now..especially since I will be gone for Thanksgiving (20-27th) and Christmas (9-31st)..oh well. My mouth, which had always been in full on talkative mode has apparently gone into overdrive..Let's see..I could blame it on:

1. Living with 5 other girls (Hello?!?)
2. Living in the middle of nowhere which equals nothing else to do
3. I don't have a number three right now. I haven't thought that much about it.

But, what I have thought about is the fact that I am doing it far too much, and it is awful of me. It makes me hate who I have become since I've moved here. This person isn't me. It isn't who I was before college..and it isn't who I am going to be anymore. No matter how many reasons I put up there about why I am doing it..none of them justify it. I can only blame myself.

Last year was the year of.."smile and nod". I let everything roll off of my back and was just kind of like.."whatever". It worked for me. I was very un-stressed and..I like/liked that person. I need to stroll back into that.

I'm glad this realization has hit me..and I didn't need someone to tell me for it to make me realize. I did it on my own. Self realizations FTW!

Other things I have realized...

- Studying is, infact, NOT overrated. I need to study more, procrastinate less. Lets be frank here, my grades are not where I want them to be. I am not doing bad, but it is not where I KNOW I could have them. Lets put out my reasoning for having grades which aren't exactly superior:

1. It is the first quarter..I am adjusting to new people, surroundings, and life in general.
2. My classes really are just that hard.
3. Once again. I don't have a three. (this really isn't helping my case at all)

All of these reasons SUCK. Hardcore. I am being lazy. Oversleeping (Well, that is one class. Sociology). Just plain..procrastinating. Ohhh the power of procrastination..what can I say..it pays off in the now..lol

But really. I am sucking it up. I need to do better. I expect more of myself and I have been completely tossing that aside and doing everything but what I need to be doing..and I am justifying it by just telling myself the two reasons above. Which..are crap.

- "Alex, I'd like a major in "I don't know" for $500, please."

I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WANT TO DO IN LIFE. Please, someone help me. I am lost. Let's start this whole numbered reasoning thing again, but instead..I'll go by the majors I have possibly looked into:

1. Art/Photography. This was the absolute original and intended major. Then I started to think about it..hmm..what can I do with this? can I make money? is it a good idea for my future, job wise? This major makes everything a little cloudy. Unless I wanted to go for a B.F.A, instead of a general B.A, and then shell out another zillion dollars for grad school to get my M.F.A..all of this to become an art teacher/professor. I can't see myself as a professor. Art professors are whacky. Mine wears skirts..and cowboy hats..and bob-the-builder-like overalls to class with cowboy boots. He is weird, okay? That is not me! I am not weird..in his sense, anyway.

2. Athletic Training. Ahhh..I was in love with the idea of majoring in this. Sports, plus training/medical stuff added in..I was just about to ask the major to marry me. Match made in heaven. That is..until I started to read the fine print. I knew that the major was INCREDIBLY hard to even get into. I needed to beat about 69 other people to be in that group of 20 out of about 70 people who get accepted to the major after the strenuous prereq's are completed. I thought I was up for the task..then I took a week of Chemistry. SCREW THIS. It then dawned on me how awful I was at chemistry and math..and then I realized that I needed at least two higher level chem classes along with a higher math (kill me now, k?)..that was the topping on the cake. I was done. buh bye. Sure, you can say, "Oh case, you can do it..just study a lot, and put your mind to it..you'll be fine". No guys, that is just not possible. I cannot do chem. I cannot do higher math. 4 years of high school and 35 college credit classes has made this abundantly clear to me. I do not need a rejection letter from The Ohio State University's Allied Medical College to confirm this fact anymore than it already has been. k, thanks.

3. I just don't know. My mind wanders from..Sociology..to..Communications. I hate the fact that I would need to take stats and two full years of a foreign language for communications..but you know what, I need to deal. It is college. I am going to have to take classes I don't wanna take..and I am okay with that..but before I put myself through the hell of sadistics or franca's, or even espana again..I want to make sure that I am doing it for a reason..because my major requires it.

So right now. I am a floating duck. I am 'exploring' my options..I don't like exploring much. Too many risks. I don't want to stick with this exploration crap because the sooner I know what I want to do..the sooner I get to graduate. I could be taking classes my major doesn't even need right now! I am wasting time AND money by not knowing what I want to do..so, anybody have any suggestions? I only wish I could major in 'I don't know'. Who is up for creating a college like the one depicted in 'accepted'?

In other news:

- I am going home for Thanksgiving! At first I was just going to stay and come up to Toledo and spend it with my dad and stuff..but then I realized they really don't do much for the holiday up here..and..I just really will miss home on Thanksgiving. I have never spent it away from home and it is just tradition to have us all together. I will be home from the 20th through the 27th. Monday to Monday. I will be flying into Atlanta and then my mom and I, and possibly brad, will be driving down to Pensacola, I assume.

- We are going to Dallas for Christmas! Christopher invited us..I am so stoked. Mom is flying up here on the 9th..she is going to drive back down with me...we will probably go to Atlanta..then Pensacola..and then closer to Christmas, we will head to Dallas. I don't know the exact schedule right now, though. After Christmas, we will drive back again to Pensacola/Atlanta..and then mom will drive back up with me to Ohio, and then fly back down again. I am really glad she is driving with me both ways..it makes the trip so much faster. This way, we don't have to stop at all. She drives, I sleep..I drive, She sleeps. One day trip.

mmkay, off for the night.

--case

Where has the love of my blogging run off to?

At one point in time, I loved to write. I loved to blog..It helped me vent and get everything out..and I just don't have that love anymore. I can't figure it out. I go to type and nothing really comes out.

So to update on my life..hmm.

I got the job at American Eagle. Woot. It is very much needed. I am broke. So now I will be working two jobs as well as going to school..My other job is at the school Art Gallery..I am an assistant..Basically, I open the gallery and sit around doing nothing and just making sure no one runs out with a piece of artwork..you know, I almost would love that to happen because it would be actuall excitement. The job is so boring. I mean, I can study and take my laptop..and I get paid a pretty good wage to pretty much study..but it really does get boring sometimes..I know it will get busier though..I help take down and put up shows, etc..a new show is coming in at the end of the month..the current show are paintings on canvas..it is considered 'political pop art' and the artist is Isabella Natale.

Ohhh I suppose I should mention the dishwasher incident. Someone *ahem* put dawn dishwashing detergent in the dishwasher..started it..and thus created a kitchen floor filled with bubbles and water...

so okay, I start the dishwasher..go in my room..about 10-20 minutes later I walk out of my room to grab some clothes out of the washer/dryer and low and behold..the mighty wall of bubbles that has descended from the dishwasher.

It was hilarious.

I just started laughing. a lot. and hard. I was dying, guys.

So I run to Ally's room (she and becky are the only ones home)..and she is like, "what is wrong?!?" and I tell her to come out..she does and its just like.."Oh My God!!", then of course Becky comes out and her reaction is similar..we laugh..but then its like. oh shit. we have bubbles and water everywhere. We start to clean it up and I only say that I put the normal dishwasher detergent in and NOT dawn. We finally got it cleaned up and the bubbles that were in the dishwasher went down overnight. The floor is now cleaner than it ever has been.

oh goodness. I am amazinggggg. just admit it, you guys know it. haha

In other news..my roomate (the one in my actual room) is..SO irritating! ahh! She is dating a 16 year old (she is 19!!) and she talks to him like a baby (no, im not kidding). Do you remember that commercial where the woman is talking to her baby and then proceeds to talk to her husband the same way? yeah, like that. It is so..ahh! And she is freezing in 75 degree weather. She likes it HOT and shuts the window everytime i open it. I'm just like..'look dude. I can only take off so many clothes where you can put a shitload of blankets on and heating blankets". Sigh. She doesn't annoy me that bad i suppose. But, i will hopefully be getting a single room next quarter b/c one of our roomates is moving out (she is a grad student..she'll be graduating)..

my roomate is going down. she just came in and had a shit fit because we want to turn the air on..not like..on..as in constantly on all night..but on..on AUTO. so if it is set at 73 degrees..if the heat of the house goes above that..it will kick on..and then once the temp cools to 73..it shuts off. Ohh the advances in technology. my roomate apparently does not get this. she is such a douche sometimes...err.

the football game was today..we played Indiana. They suck. haha..44-3..yeahhh, GO BUCKS. It was a good game though..kind of cold (as expected). I just want the michigan game to get here already. I am stoked.

Gotta go..toodles!

dawn in the dishwasher..

story to come later:

*It was SO MUCH WORSE than these pics show. this was after we cleaned up and were running it again and again to get the bubbles out.. the whole kitchen floor was covered with bubbles..*..

<img style="display:block; I was excited, especially about the groundhog.

I made stuffed peppers for dinner for my entire apartment plus all the boys next door (they practically live with us).

I walked in on my roomie having sex last night. AWKWARD. Okay. well, see. it happened like this: She has her own bedroom (we all do. well, i share) and i heard someone come in around 1 am..and then i heard a really really loud T.V...so I got up to say hi..and I went over to her room and knocked on the door..no answer..so I opened it! AHHHH. It was hilarious though..but awkward. I'm like.."AMANDA..LOCK THE DOOR". dubya teee efff. haha..oi.

I officially dropped Chemistry..THANK GOD. I am now in an art class called Concepts and Issues In Art..I still have the same credit hours..and now I only have classes on tuesdays and thursdays..which is soo nice.

I am going to take Geography as my physical science next quarter instead of chem or physics (haha yeah right. id never even consider that class).

The football game was fun..It wasn't nearly as rowdy at the Penn State game..but it was still a blast. It was like we weren't even playing anyone..Bowling Green is wayyyy out of our league. It was a fun game, nonetheless.

I am going to Columbus this weekend with Jess and Dustin, and Mike. woot. shopppinng!

Ohh speaking of..I started my job in the art gallery. I just sit there. all day. haha..8.65 an hour..but i'm only supposed to work about 10 hours a week so my work study money lasts all year..but I also have an interview at..AMERICAN EAGLE tomorrow! I am so stoked. I love that store. It would just be nice to have some extra cash.

This is kind of random and scattered..sorry! I am so tired though. Off to study for sociology..then bed (hopefully. I have had a lot of trouble getting to sleep lately)

--case

Sidenote:

I also encountered my first deer on the rode on the way to the bowling alley the other night..we were driving along on a road..not a dead road either..it was pretty busy..and I thought I saw something a bit in front of me and then i got closer and slowed down and..whoa, there was a friggin DEER standing right next to my window. haha..so weird.

No friday classes=YES.

Ohh last night was so much fun. The boys next door to us cooked us dinner and we all watched Grey's Anatomy..then around midnight..we were kind of bored (we had watched Napoleon Dynomite, too)..and I was like..hmm, are there any movies this late? That was a negative..so we came up with..cosmicccc bowling! Yeahh. haha...6 of us went cosmic bowling..it was hilarious..and then we headed to steak n shake for shakes..

We got home around 2:30 and then me and Amanda headed downstairs to the apartment below us (also boys. the boys we are supposed to stay away from..) haha..

all in all, it was a great time. I love sleeping in on fridays..

Oh also..My roomie amanda and our friend dan stole a SHOPPING CART from walmart and put it in another roomies bedroom..haha..pranking them. It was awesome. I think its still in the apartment somewhere..

Steak n Shake hatssss:

I should update more often.

I am realizing that maybe I should update this blog more often with smaller blogs rather than forgetting and trying to recount my entire week or so like I am now..

I'll start off with Saturday.. The FOOTBALL GAME! It was SO much fun. Shannon (guy in the apartment next to me) rode with me to the game..we left around 10 a.m. because the drive to Columbus is about an hour and the game started at 3:30..but we wanted to experience the festivities and all of that..plus, we didn't know how bad traffic would be. I had bought a jersey the day before when I was on campus so I was all set to go..I grabbed my camera and my jersey and we were off..it was hilarious riding down because we kept seeing all of these decked out cars with Ohio State stuff all over them..it was hilarious..the traffic really wasn't bad at all..we got there around 11-ish..found parking which seemed like FOREVER away..it wasn't THAT far..but it was far enough..I grabbed my camera but I wasn't sure if I was allowed to take it with me or not..the rules of the stadium state that you cannot have cameras/video recorders..but I KNOW people bring cameras..I asked the lady at the front of the parking lot we were in and she was like..'Hmm, I'm not sure. Maybe walk up a bit and ask"..so we ended up pretty much walking to the stadium before we found out I could not take it in..My camera was too big..I need to buy a small one..I can't exactly hide mine in my purse..Oh well. I was dissapointed..we had to walk alllll the way back to the car.. okay, so anyway..once we got back..the campus was insane..a big sea of red. red red red. It was Red Out Penn State so it was even more red than usual..Tons and tons of people..huge tailgating areas..big food areas set up by vendors with big screen Tv's..the show College GameDay was there..Shannon and I walked up and down Lane Ave (a main street) and went into all the shops (which was really hard because there were SO MANY PEOPLE).

After walking around for a while..we figured out that the Skull Session was starting soon so we headed to the St. John Arena which is pretty much right in front of the Stadium..the Skull Session happens before every game..it starts at about 1:30 (the game is at 3:30). The marching band comes in and plays a lot of the songs and their halftime show and the drum major also performs..Jim Tressel came in and gave a speech too..it was amazing. Tons of chanting..the whole place was filled..over 20k fans..here is a video clip the the band marching into the arena for the Skull Session: http://ets.osu.edu/tbdbitl/video/skullsessionhigh.mpg

Once the skull session was over..shannon was super hungry so we stopped outside and grabbed a quick bite to eat..by that time..everyone was headed towards the stadium for the game..the stadium is..amazing. it is so beautiful..and huge..and just so cool. I am in a football group of about 24 people..Anyone can create a football group..all you have to do is go to the OSU ticket site when you buy your tickets and make a group name and make a password..its just a way to ensure that you and your friends will get seats next to eachother..otherwise you'll be scattered..One guy in the facebook OSU 2010 group was like..'hey, i'm creating a group called bucknuts10..anyone can join'..so I did..and so did 22 other people..lol..its really nice though b/c we all got to know each other before the game and so I wasn't sitting by myself..it was really neat.

The game itself was awesome..I took a lot of photos with my camera phone before the game started..but the stadium filled FAST. I mean..seriously. Really fast. The band came out first and performed the Script Ohio along with the National Anthem...then the team rushed out..it was seriously..so cool.

The only thing that sucked was that it started to rain and it was cold..! It rained the first half..stopped during the half time..and started raining again during the 2nd half of the game..but not nearly as bad/as hard as it was raining in the first half. The game itself was fun..I yelled "O-H" "I-O!" more times than I can count..and did the wave..and did the O-H-I-O with the whole stadium..each section does one letter..its so cool to hear everyone do it. The attendance was over 105k..and it was alllll reddddd.

After the game I was going to stay and party hop a bit (and I was invited to a few as well)..but I was still sick..and my feet hurt SO BAD. We stood the entire game and had walked a ton all day..so Shannon and I just decided to head back to the Apartments..

When I got home..I was the only one there because everyone else had gone home for the weekend..but then Amanda came in..she decided to come home early from Columbus too..I was all but ready for bed and then we were just like..'hey lets see whats going on downstairs'..You see, the boys below us are the party boys..we were even told to stay away from them..haha..its like..a frathouse packed into an apartment..but they are hilarious..we stayed down there most of the night and then finally went to bed around..2 or 3 maybe..

On sunday..I don't remember doing anything until later that night..there was a huge party downstairs and me and Amanda were down there again hanging out..it was pretty fun though..they are nuts..its everything I expected college to be like..lol

Monday through now..nothing too much new has happened..I have a new roomate..kind of sucks..but its not that bad..I was hoping to keep the room to myself but I'm not opposed to a roomie either. She is really nice and just moved in today..her name is Ashley.

I have my very first two quizzes tomorrow for math and chem. I HATE CHEMISTRY. and conversion problems. Hate them hate them hate them. Awful. I think i'll do pretty good though..me and my roomie ally both have chem and we studied a lot tonight..and I get math pretty well..its stuff i've had before..but there are some word problems which really suck. I don't like those either..but i've been getting them, so hopefully i'll do well on the quizzes too.

SO okay..the more i've been thinking about it..the more I don't want to leave this campus. I mean, everyone wants to be down in Columbus..and I know I would absolutely love it..so much. Its amazing down there..but I am really comfortable here. I love my roomies..I like the area (its small..but comfy)..I think I am going to postpone my move to the main campus..My original plan had me leaving Mansfield in December and starting at main campus in January..but now I might stay an extra quarter or even the entire year..we'll see..I just like where I am..no need to change it if its good.

Also..a change in my major may be coming..I am so incredibly indecisive about what I want..I was like.."Ohhh athletic training..yes" but now I am second guessing it..I know its okay to not really know what I want..it would help to have an idea..and I do..I think..but I wish I had a clearcut thought of exactly what I want to be and what I want to major in..I guess it all comes in time..

Where did I leave off..

Classes started on Wednesday..I only had Chemistry but it went really well. It is my biggest class out of the four, and one of my roomie's is in my class (ally) which is really nice in case I need help or she needs help (i'll be the one who needs help). Everyone else had a couple of classes that day but I just had chem from 1-2 and then the rest of the day off. They had a get together in the Union..free pizza and ice cream (the best way to lure college kids)..it was a concert thing by the group Black Violin. It was really cool! They incorporate violins into hip hop and r&b music and its just really neat sounding..check them out if you get a chance.

On wednesday night, I started to feel really sick..my head started to hurt, my ears started popping..nose got stuffy, throat started to hurt..I finally got to sleep and had class at 9:55..That class is my earliest and it's Sociology..I really liked it. It is the one class I really don't mind going to and it seems like its going to be fun, maybe on the easy side..or maybe its just that I enjoy it so its not really hard for me. I had a couple hour break in between Sociology and my next class, which is Chem and they had an involvement fair right outside of the buildings..They were giving away tons of food from different restaurants and other random little things..lots of coupons, lots of banks trying to get us to sign up, a blood drive sign up, and also clubs and stuff..It was cool. I got a lot of neat stuff and food so I didn't have to buy lunch..woot. haha

I came home after chem and I just felt awful..I took some sudafed but honestly, it hasn't been helping much..I had math at 5:30 and went to it..My teacher is really good..he pretty much kept us the whole two hours but it went by fast, suprisingly. We had a 5 minutes break about an hour in and I almost left because I just felt THAT awful..my head hurts, I feel like i'm 30 feet underwater..ears are popping..sinus pressure..I keep sneezing..Its nuts. I ran out and grabbed some hot chocolate after class and went back to the apartment..They had a basketball shootout with more free pizza and stuff at 8 o'clock at the apartments..we checked that out and then headed back for Grey's Anatomy (!!!). I am really glad that in this first episode, they kind of went back in time and showed us stuff about derek and addison's breakup and all of that. After Grey's, a bunch of the boys from next door to us came over and we all jsut kind of hung out for a while but then I started to feel even more sick and sick to my stomach so I went and layed down..

Inbetween all of this chaos, I also bought a mini fridge. We have a full fridge in our apartment but its kind of full with 5 girls..so a mini one was a good buy.

Oh, and my roomate moved out of my room! The single room next to our double was open in the apartment and they let her move in..so I have this huge double to myself. I don't know if someone else will move in or not, but I can enjoy the room for now. Pretty exciting.

Today I got to sleep in since I don't have class on Fridays..Shannon (guy next door. odd, a guy named shannon..wait..deva, didn't you date a shannon?) and I headed to Columbus to pick up our football tickets..I got an email yesterday and it was just like, "look, pick them up asap b/c 16k have not picked theirs up and the lines will be LONG"..we headed down..the line was really really long but it went pretty fast..I also picked up a jersey for the game tomorrow..its the first home game (well, in our ticket package) and its vs. Penn State. woot. Shannon and I drove around a little bit and looked around..students are EVERYWHERE. No wonder it says you can't have a car frosh year, its so busy..it would take an hour to get anywhere..haha. Everyone was walking everywhere.

We headed back and it started to rain but we stopped at the apartments..all of my roomies are gone..Amanda invited me to stay with her and a friend in Columbus for the entire weekend to party and such but since I'm sick, i decided to just stay home..I'll just got to the football game and come back later that night rather than stay the night. There will be plenty of time for partying any other game weekend..lol. All of my roomates are gone this weekend..Jillian and Ally went home as did Becky and of course Amanda went to c-bus..so I'm all alone...but I have made a lot of friends here and the boys next door are always over, so its okay.

After we stopped at home, Shannon and I went to Chipotle..my first time eating there. Everyone raves about it and it was pretty good..we have some free burrito tickets from the involvement fair..nothing tastes better than free food anyway.

Alright, i'm off for now..I have a tiny bit of math homework I'm just going to get done so I don't forget..

Oh, and here are my tickets! :) See which one is on top..? michigan..ahh..I could sell that sucker for over 1k if I wanted..but I won't. I can't wait to go!

Football game tomorrow! Go Bucks! penn state sucks! 3:30..gonna get to columbus and tailgate around 9-10. woot.

Getting Comfortable.

Last night was my first night sleeping in the dorm..and I slept like a rock. I was tired pretty early since I had been up at 5 am..so me and my roomie passed out at about the same time..

Classes start tomorrow..! My schedule isn't so bad. My roomie has EARLY classes (7:40 a.m.) where as my only class tomorrow is at 1 o'clock and my earliest class overall is 10 a.m.

This is my class schedule..

I went and bought a mini-fridge earlier..we have a fridge in the apartment but its not the biggest of the bunch and with 6 girls..its full. I just got the little 1.8 cubic size one..it holds everything perfectly..I have to sell it once I go to main campus b/c every dorm at the main campus has a microwave/mini-fridge in each room and you can't bring your own. I figured the little one will sell better anyway. It was only 65 bucks..I dunno, i'll sell it for less. I'll take pictures tomorrow.

Oh, I got the new Jones Soda holiday pack for christmas! They have like..Candy Corn flavored..something else..and a berry flavored which is called "Berried Alive"..haha..I bought it of course..but have yet to try it.

I did my first..solo..grocery shopping trip. I was SO lost. I mean, I go shopping with my mom a lot but I just couldn't remember stuff..For instance, I went to the deli because I wanted some roast beef and maybe turkey sliced for a sandwich..then I started thinking, "well, how much do I get? Half a pound..?"..so I called my sister..haha, I am pathetic..I didn't know! I didn't get a lot of food, but enough to hold me over. My mom is going to add me to her Sam's account so I can shop there in bulk..cheaper in the long run..I did my shopping at Wal-Mart this time around..

They are having welcome stuff everyday this week and part of next..Yesterday they had the World's Largest Whip Cream Fight and the World's Largest Pillow Fight..we skipped out to go to dinner..I figured I could survive without the whip cream..haha..Today they had a lot of game things in the courtyard of the apartments..music, free ice cream and food, and some other stuff. It was fun..just a nice way to meet new people. Tomorrow is a comedian and then they have these cool Violinist's coming in who incorporate the Violin into modern day music..I'm excited. The rest of the week is promising..Concert in the Oval on friday..its free..Jack's Mannequin (!!), Copeland (!!), Saving Jane, and Rihanna..theres also a movie in the Oval..40 Year Old Virgin..woot.

ahhh college..

till tomorrow..

Can I get a hell yeah?

I got the bottom bunk! YES.

My mom and I left my dads house around 6 a.m..the drive was 156 miles to Canton/Akron and then 74 miles to Mansfield from there. I was on a very tight schedule because I had to be at campus for the work study orientation by 10. I made it though..I brought all of my bed stuff from my dads house plus some new storage and just other little random things I needed..When I had moved in on thursday..I really did not unpack anything..I just kind of set my stuff down and went to Toledo..so once I got back from orientation, I started organizing and getting everything together.

My roomie Jillian came in and I just said.. "look, we need to talk about the bed situation.." and she said "well, can you honestly tell me you hate that bunk THAT much?" and I straight up said yes, and it is for a number of reasons..a lot having to do with convenience because of her schedule..so we switched..woot.

Dropping my mom off was hard. I held back a lot..I knew it was coming so I prepared myself mentally and emotionally..I did cry pretty hardcore in the car once I had dropped her off though..But I just keep thinking..its only a few months and then I am back home for Christmas, you know? It's like an extended summer camp. A year round really long one. haha..

I met all of my other roomies, including the 24 year old grad student..I was VERY wrong about her. She is actually really cool..so I am stoked. The other roomie Amanda is really nice too. One girl did not show up..so we don't know whats going on..if someone else is moving into her room or if she is just coming late..? We'll see.

Okay so here are some photos of my car and how insanely packed it was. (give me some kudos here...those are some extraordinary packing skilllllzzz). haha

My dorm room is now finally all organized for the most part. All long sleeve. I kept veering towards the short sleeve/sleeveless stuff but I just had to remind myself to not grab them. It was about 65 here today..next week it is supposed to be colder. I don't mind it. I thought it felt amazing today..not too hot, not too cold..just right. The air was so crisp too, no humidity. Perfect weather to just ride with the windows down and the music really loud.

We had lunch and dinner with Donna and my sister Jessie joined us for Dinner..We don't have any plans for tomorrow..Donna will be leaving to go back home to Michigan but otherwise..I have work study orientation on Monday at 10-12 p.m. but my mom has to be at the Akron/Canton airport by 2 p.m..well, 1 really since she needs to check in an hour early..so I am probably going to end up taking her before the orientation because the airport is over an hour away from campus..I don't see how it would work either way.

All of my other roomates arrive tomorrow..I am excited. Amanda is a girl who ive talked to a lot online, she seems really really cool..Sarah is a new girl..we don't know anything about her, and the Becca, the 23 year old grad student. I don't really care if I meet her or not..I don't really like her already and I don't even know her. She comes off as really..prude-ish and very overly mature sounding.

I am still having a problem with my roomate. She refuses to let me have the bottom bunk..The way the room is set up..I have to climb on her desk to get onto my bed..which has no bar to keep me from falling..either way. I have a LOT of reasons to why I should have the bottom bunk..I'll get into it later. I have even offered her money. I am going to talk to my RA when I get back to see what we can do..because honestly..I was just going to deal and take the top, but the more I think about it the more irritated I get and more reasons pop into my head why I should have it..

Her earliest class is at 7:30 a.m. (!!) and my earliest is 10 (only two days a week)..she goes to bed early and all of that..I can't be on my computer on the top bunk and if I am, then I have to climb down and walk across my room to get to my desk to set it down again..and then climb back up..if I was on the bottom bunk, none of this would be a problem.

Gah, so many reasons. Something HAS to be done.

They paired the worst two people up. She's nice..but we are polar opposites and have the most opposite class schedule.

It will all work out, I know it will.

Rough.

Yeah, that is about right. Rough. My mom and I left home on the yesterday (14th) around 3 p.m...I had spent all night packing my car up..it was filled to the absolute brim. Seriously, you couldn't have fit anything else in any crevice. They were all occupied. I started out the driving but after about 30 minutes, I could barely keep my eyes open..she took over and drove till about Nashville (10 o clock) and then I took over from Nashville onto school..we proceeded to get lost in Columbus at 4 am..thank you mapquest and your imaginary exits. 101a does not exist.

Yadda yadda yadda. All of that writing above is just..dry. Here comes the juicy parts.

We arrived at school around 7:30 a.m. and checked in, two of my roomates were already moved in and the rest move in this sunday...you see, my dorm is a full apartment..its a 5 bedroom for 6..meaning there are 5 single bedrooms, and one double room with a bunkbed. I was put into room D and was given a key and all, and halfway through bringing my stuff upstairs, the girl who checked me in comes in to tell me that she was wrong and I was infact in room E, the double room. This was the straw the broke the camels back, emotional wise. I was so tired..I had driven all night and hadn't slept since the day before..I wanted the single room..taking it away from me was cruel..all of this piled on top of the fact that I am/was moving 15 hours away from my family who I am VERY close to..I was a wreck.

So all of a sudden out of nowhere..a panic attack came on. My whole view on things and my attitude..everything did a complete flip in the opposite direction. I was so very close to packing everything back into my car and coming home..But then I kept thinking..no, I can't do that. I'll be a failure. I have to at least give this place a chance...but in my head..all I was thinking was awful things..I felt sick to my stomach. My mom and I drove around the town for a little bit to try to get the attack to ease up..my brother called and talked me through a lot of it..pretty much just saying that this is a chance of a lifetime and yeah, it is going to suck when my mom flies out on monday..but i'll get through it. Things will get better.

I was put into the double room with a girl named Jillian. She is pretty cool..but she had already moved in the day before and had taken the bottom bunk. I hate bunk beds..and I really despise the top bunk..and that is what I am stuck with. I have tried to reason with her, but she is pretty much sticking to her guns. I don't even care at this point, really. I am just glad that my point of view changed back to what it was before the panic attack and I am just ready to move on and get going. Classes start the 20th.

I am at my dads house in Toledo right now..My mom and I will stay here a night or two..we may try to go to the OSU vs. Cinci game tomorrow in Columbus..I have season tickets, but because the NI and Cinci game are before classes start, they are optional in the package. I didn't expect to be here in time for this game though...Th

This post is really unorganized and just kind of..everywhere. Not very well written either..I apologize. I am exhausted and just a little crazy today. I'll update with some photos within the next week and add anything else about move in day that I forgot to mention in here as the week goes on.

Oh, and gas here is really cheap! I don't know what the current prices in florida are..but regular unleaded is like..2.11 here! Insane!

Passing Time..

I am passing some time right now. I have been up all night and it is..6:30 a.m. I spent all night packing/organizing to leave today..I have everything all but done at this point. My car is going to the dealership at 10 a.m. because I have a sunroof drainage problem that it making the floor of my car soaked. Because of this problem, I have only loaded the trunk of my car..I never thought I could fit so much in there, I'm amazed. I still have a huge amount of stuff to put in my backseat..Clothes, TV, Feather Bed, Blankets, Pillows..I have NO idea how I am going to manage this..but I will. Squishing is the name of the game. I will put it all in after I get it back from the dealership..that should be around noon and then my mom and I will hopefully be on the road by 3 o'clock at the absolute latest.

Everyone keeps asking me if I'm nervous..and..you know, I'm really not. I am excited and hopeful. I don't quite know what to expect out of the entire situation..I am just welcoming everything with open arms and hoping it all turns out for the best.

Okay, my original idea for this second post was for me to share some of my favorite websites/Blogs that I have found randomly through the web. I definently consider these good finds (They are in no specific order):

1. Improv Everywhere
2. BlackBird-Fly.net
3. Blogging Project Runway
4. Waiter Rant
5. IDontLikeYouInThatWay.com
6. New York Hack
7. Mimi In New York
*8. VwVortex Forums
*And, If you happen to own a Volkswagen..this site is an amazing find. It holds more information than you would ever want to know about your car.

I'll add more sites here and there in every post if I stumble upon something worth showing.

Oh, that brings me to another thing you all should check out. Stumble-Upon is a toolbar that is used with Mozilla-Firefox and it is an amazing little thing. I highly encourage you to check it our for yourself, it can keep you occupied for hours on end.

Here are a few photos of me in my new spec's! Glasses FTW!

Mmkay. I may update before the day is over..but if not, my next update probably will come once I get to OSU and get a little settled into my dorm.

--Case

Speaking Figuratively Of Course (Intro!)

Let's all give a big thanks to Motion City Soundtrack for giving me a blog address name/idea. The line is from their song, The Future Freaks Me Out"..Just for future reference. You should check them out.

Okay..so. For a long time I had a blog with LiveJournal...I ranted and raved and overall, it was a good experience. I usually go way back in my entries about once a year and am really surprised about what I was writing about. It is just amazing to look back and see how much I have matured and changed as a person overall. Anyway..the point is, I stopped writing in the LiveJournal for several reasons and i've missed writing at times. It really does help me vent and just unload after a long day. Sometimes I don't feel like recounting things, but other times I do. I am getting off track again. The point of creating this new blog is to not only do what my LiveJournal did for me before, which was helping me just write and get out daily frusterations, but it is also to keep in touch with family in friends who I might not be able to call day to day. This way, you all can kind of keep up with me and my life..I think it's a good idea..and I think it is also a good way to just kind of see how far I come along over time..the evolution of becoming a really poor, ramen eating college kid thats a long way from home. See, perfect plot.

This should go well.
